BOSSIMONIALS

“The B.O.S.S. on Campus program was very beneficial to my introduction to college. Before starting the program, I was very nervous about what to expect as a young adult. I wasn't sure if I'd make it in college, let alone meet people who would be willing to help me or encourage me. This program allowed me to meet women of different careers that all struggled in their past. They let me know the world isn't over just because you failed or didn't get what you wanted. I am now motivated to work harder because it will eventually pay off later. I also was glad that a lot of the women I met talked about self-care, which is something I needed to do when I entered college. I can't wait to come back next summer and continue working with such powerful, inspiring women. Thank you for the opportunity!”

I joined Boss On Campus because I wanted to be a part of something progressive. I am an idealistic person, so I have multiple visions for the future. However, it was very apparent to me that I did not have plans for my future. It was difficult for me to pinpoint who I was, let alone who or what I wanted to be. I knew I needed help. All in all, I am a better person because of BOSS On Campus. I have a better understanding of myself, and what I need to do to be successful. I wish to send the greatest thanks to Cameka, Tierra, and all of our wonderful guest speakers with the program. Moreover, it would be amazing to integrate Boss on Campus into UIC long-term. I will be happy to serve as a leader to mentor and inspire incoming college freshman the same ways I have been inspired.”
